Sometimes, when we’re watching the latest red carpet event with those perfectly coifed and dressed stars, we forget that actors and other celebrities have allergies too.
For instance, Drew Barrymore cannot have either coffee or garlic. (Unusual allergies, to say the least. Not a shellfish or dairy product there.)
Then there is the beautiful new mom, Halle Berry. Don’t ever call her a shrimp – and don’t feed her one either.
This doesn’t leave the men off the hook. Billy Bob Thornton – who made a fool of himself on a Canadian radio show – is not actually allergic to marriage, although he can’t stay in one. The multi-talented man has to watch his diet carefully. He is allergic to 3 of the top 8 allergens, including wheat, shellfish and dairy products.
Hey – his diet is a lot like mine! I wonder if I should invite him over for a safe supper.
Ray Romano of “Everyone Loves Raymond” is allergic to peanuts. I bet he’s happy that many public institutions, including schools, now observe peanut bans.
Of course, no one said that the only thing you could be allergic to is food. Beyonce is apparently allergic to perfume. Steffi Graf, former first ranked tennis player and the wife of Andre Agassi (another tennis star), has both a variety of environmental allergies plus hay fever.
Kristin Stewart, the newly rising star of the Twilight movie series, is allergic to grass. Must have made lying in the grass beside Robert Pattinson, for a few memorable scenes in the first Twilight installment, a bit challenging.
Here’s another challenging allergy: Prince William‘s longtime girlfriend, Kate Middleton is allergic to horses! Guess she won’t be out watching at the regular polo matches that the royals love.
Martina McBride might be a country music crooner, but you aren’t going to find her in a smoky bar: she’s allergic to smoke.
There aren’t too many 60 year olds who look like Cher. But she’s not as perfect as she might appear – she too has allergies.
If you’ve got a crush on Nicollette Sheridan, don’t send flowers. She’s allergic.
