Foods that are not labeled properly can be a significant issue for those with life-threatening anaphylaxis. In fact, full disclosure of both ingredients and contaminants on food labels is a major issue for those with serious food allergies.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has taken a step to save lives and prevent hospital trips due to food allergies: they now have a service that lets the food allergic know immediately of problems with allergens in wrongly or mislabeled foods.
